Cheryl Foster & Ceri Williams at Colliers Park - FREE EVENT

At Colliers Park on Friday 14th April, Cheryl Foster and Ceri Williams will be sharing their inspiring stories about what it's really like to be FIFA Match Officials. This free event will provide valuable insight into fantastic opportunities for women and girls to build a career in football through refereeing. Cheryl Foster's football career began as a player, breaking the international appearances record for Cymru while also starring for Bangor City and Liverpool FC. Since retiring from playing, Cheryl has established herself as one of UEFA's Elite Women Referees. Foster refereed the EURO 2022 Semi-Final between Germany and France last summer and has been selected to officiate on the FIFA Women's World Cup Finals in 2023. Ceri Williams began refereeing in Swansea as a teenager and is now an Assistant Referee on the JD Cymru Premier. Ceri is also the first Welsh woman to have officiated on a UEFA Men's competition and recently took up a new role as the FAW's first ever Women's Referee Development Officer. Any new female referee will be under Ceri's wing from the get-go, a great advantage for any match official beginning their career.
