Formation of U17s League

Following recent changes and U17’s now being under Junior FAW regulations, NEWFA are looking to form a new league for this age group from the 23/24 season.

Not all players from our U16’s age group will move up to U19’s or Senior Teams, so this allows all players to stay within the game, creating greater development through the successful U19’s and Senior Leagues in place. This will assist with accessibility to Football for all abilities increasing participation.

We presently have 7 teams who have shown an interest in this competition. Please note Clubs affiliated to the Area Association have the option to apply for a maximum of £500 Grant from NEWFA, towards cost on forming this additional age group.

Please can all Clubs interested in the new league (even if you have already indicated interest) reply to gsnewfa@outlook.com, which will allow NEWFA to allocate management of this League and meet with all Clubs to discuss best format.
